the engine might use a little over time, close to the 100k mark you should see some loss
My "95 840Ci w/96k did use a little bit , cca. 1/4 quart at 4k miles. that is still oke, but I heard fot high performance BMW engines the 1 quart/1000miles is also cosidered as normal.
