It was a cool and sunny today, so there was only one thing to do which was to take my 850 out and run it through its 6 speeds. Four hours later, back home safe and sound with about an hour of daylight left, obviously the proper way to end the day was to put another coat of Zymol on the 8. As it was a cool day, the hood was cool to the touch and ready for the wax. However, when I got to the concealed headlight covers, both were very warm to the touch -- bye bye wax. I had been driving all day without the headlights on, thus they they were in the retracted position. So why are the headlight covers hot? Has anybody else noticed this condition?
