The V8 are throttle cable controlled as any normal BMW. A stiff or hard pedal movement would be something physical. IE cable pinched, throttle return spring +++

Is this a sudden change or do you just have a grip regarding the throttle feel? Most BMWs have quit a firm throttle compared to other cars. Don't mean this as an insult, but your post is a little vague...:)

The gas pedal on my '97 840 is stiff. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix?
