Some other speed-dependent features in the E-31 include:
+ Windows that go up after reaching 90 mph
+ Windshield wipers that slow down if you're just crawling along, and then move full-speed when you speed up.
What a wonderful machine the E31 is!

Dear fellow 8:ers,
This is just a curious question I have and I am simply wondering if somebody here has the answer to this.
My 850 has a CD-changer which I often load with nice music for my drives. I am not the kind of driver that plays music loud enough for my ears to drop off, but I play the music at a fairly acceptable level.
I have noticed that when I accelerate with the car or drive at higher speeds when the wheels generate a more clear external sound, the music volume seems to increase by itself. As soon as I move down to slower speeds I can swear I hear the volume decrease to the original level.
I have noticed this in both my E31 and my E46. The question is...is this some undocumented "intelligence" with the BMW-radios (they are both stock) or is this an "illusion" created by the changes of internal and external sounds during the drive? I find no documentation on the radios that explain the behaviour that I believe I hear ;-)
Anybody else out there who has noticed this?
Best regards,
Fedde
P.S. Sorry for this stupid question, but it has really got me thinking. ;-)
