Lake Tahoe would be great for us. Might be a bit far for the guys on the East Coast and down Florida way. How about late Spring or early Fall to avoid some of the summer crowds? Maybe we could have a Western get-together, the guys in the East could have their own, and in a subsequent year we could have a major rendezvous somewhere in the middle for all North America.

How do the rest of you people feel about Lake Tahoe in 2001??

May and even early June can be iffy weatherwise here at the lake. The crowds don't get here until about July 4th. I would suggest the middle of June or the middle of September. Historically, the weather turns cold just about Labor Day, then warms up again by the September 15. I base this on 20 winters here....but who really knows? In my experience, the last two weeks of September through the middle of October usually brings fine weather. I have several great drives already in mind.
