No they are not forged. They are expensive because they can get away with it I guess..:) Have you tried calling the Alpina Factory for parts? I know they sell parts to Alpina owners, I'm nut sure if normal mortals can buy there also...

As Stephen says they are fantastic looking, and they are build for this car, so you don't have to mess with spacers or wrong offset. But be aware that if you don't have a CSi, your rear fenders will require rolling. Alpina also recommends changing the rear sub frame bushings. Be aware that the 20inch rims are made for the E38, they will "fit", but they have the wrong offset. 18s are the way to go.
