Carl,
You can put the 8's all the way around without having to mess with the rear fender lip. Also, when the 10.5's were fitted to my CSi, Alpina had to modify the AHK system to not turn in so much. That requirement is also stated in their brochure. I was unaware of the fender lip problem on non-CSi cars. Furthermore, the brochure I have lists the 8 and 10.0 combo only for 850Ci and 850CSi and NOT for the 840.
