Kurt is right after the batteries die you don't have to initialize the key. However, after your key battery dies,(I initially thought the same as Kurt and almost posted the same reply), I guess maybe you have to do something but it is straight forward from the manual so I don't really understand what could be wrong.Is the new battery good? One of my keys has a red light the other doesn't. When I initialized a new key, the new key worked fine but then the old key wouldn't work so I started over. Hey it took me 6 months and almost a busted key to figure out how to open the trunk with no power. Sometimes I don't get it.
