Is your MPG under 8.0? or is it over 12.0? And clairify about burning oil. Some consumption is normal, and it seems to increase in direct proportion to how hard you push on the exhaust. After the steam from the condensation in the exhaust burns off, does the car still appear to smoke? Are you sure you don't have a leak. Look on top of the air conditioner compressor.


Hello Gentlemen,

I just picked up my first 850 recently, a black beauty indeed, in the Bay area. I noticed that its burning oil, a lot of oil. I just added a quart of oil and days later I had to do this again after driving along highway 1. Does anyone know if this is common and if not what I can do about this?
