Actually, Phil no it wouldn't. They already sold out and built an X5. IMHO, they should continue to do what they do best..... Build fine cars and let companies like Ford keep building Trucks and SUV's.

Yes! And wouldn't it be grand if BMW would do the same to the 318ti body, and beat the sox off of the Subaru's and Toyota's?

Hi Phil

This is a pissed up shout as Ive just returned from a New Years Evev party...Please dont say the 'Ford' rally car bears any resemblance whatsoever to a Ford. If you call a fibreglass body on a custom made chassis a Ford at approx $300000 each then I'll eat my hat!!
Actually now you come to mention it I think Ive just eaten my hat...or then again!
Happy New Year

Steve
99 Ford Focus

But seriously...Has anybody seen the Ford Focus. It was rated the best car in the $12,000 range including over Toyota, Nissan, and all the Korean brands. Watch Speedvision tomorrow afternoon to see a Ford in the FIA world rally championships flying through the countryside at 150mph plus. (Yes, I know it's modified, but thumbs up to Ford for going racing in FIA.)
