Worked well in an E32:

I ran a black flat phone cable up behind the mirror. At that point I mounted a female to female phone connector (color-matched to headliner) up against the glass with double-sided tape. The other end I rounted in the ashtray, where I mounted the remote display and tapped into the lighter +12V. Now I simply have a short coiled cord attached to the Valentine 1 (Best Ka sensitivity by far!!!) and use the suction cup mount. I tuck it in behind the rear view mirror just so the rear attena and Laser photodetect are out past the mirror to minimize its visibility. THe concealed display is visible with the ashtray open, completely hidden when closed.

With only one conection to make to connect/disconnect the detector it can be mounted or stowed in less than 5 seconds.

The cord and tool to make the connection are available at Radio Shack for less than 15$ for a almost invisible installation. If you are very interested in photos, I can snap a few with my dig cam and post it.

Regards, MRC
