I have a 6spd with a limited slip differential locked at about 60% and 18" 285/35 rear tires... lots of grip. Occasionally I need to pull into or across busy/tight traffic from a standstill (typical left turn across oncoming traffic). With the ASC on, the slightest wheelspin shuts the throttle down just after launch, leaving me a a sitting duck in oncoming traffic. With ASC off, you can easily modulate wheel spin with the throttle and move the car off the line and into safe position fast enough to bruise your kidneys. :)

The DSC's features, as far as I'm concerned, is a great safety addition, even possibly above ABS's benefits. I would like to hear of any non-track situations where someone has felt it was a hindrance...
