You know, using the emergency brake and with a hard turn one way or the other for a moment. Didn't think it was possible, maybe not with the Dinan rear diff.

On mine Richard, there is only a light that says it's on or off, sort of all by itself. I wonder what the other 850i's out there have?? I know there were several differences between the i and the Ci automatics.

Isn't the switch in the center to the left side of the shifter? That's where mine is on my 840Ci...

Of course there is no turning the thing off and on in my 91, it's always on as I see it, unless there is a mysterious hidden switch in an 850i somewhere?

I noticed the same thing. I thought that if the ASC light isn't flashing, that there is no intervention by the computer. There must be something that the boys in the Motherland aren't telling us.

Kurt, et all, my '91 6 speed has a light to the left of the shifter. This light has a push button feature which I assume will turn the ASC off. There is no other switch, rocker or otherwise, on the console. I have never tried to turn the ASC off.
