Definitely, the RD locking diff is a nice unit and pretty reasonably priced. The limited slip I have is as effective, its just BMW's OEM clutch-based version for its "sports" models, modified to upper-end locking limits (60%) by Jim Blanton. Adding a limited slip does stop one tire from spinning under load and in doing so limits occurences of ASC activation. A nice improvement.

I understand Racing Dynamics has a progressive Locking differential for 800$ which will modulate the lock based on load, hence it might reduce this intrusion.

Good example. I guess with any system there are faults. With the 3.4L I6 I just don't have the torque to set it off....
