Well I'm not the best person to ask, as the truck only has 7000km on it. But it's already had the power steering gearbox fail, and 2 recalls for some pulley stuff. In general I'd say the build quality is fair/good, but not a BMW that's for sure. I was very worried about buying British, but there wasn't much else that we (SHE) liked in this category ( I suggested the 5series wagon, but no…). The X5 is a little too flashy and small, the ML is great inside but ugly/minivanish on the outside. We didn't like any of the Asian products and Domestic was completely out the question. So I guess we have to live with the LR and it's "personality". At least it opened my door for my E31.:) Now if I can just find the exactly right one...:)
