Thanks Guy, but I have tried both positions 1 and 2 and the service lights do not turn off.
Even without the pins shorted the service lights stay on until the car is started, and then they turn off about 5 seconds later.
Do I have to start the car with the pins shorted to reset the lights?
Thanks,
James

That is just a typo. I did the same thing on the 750 and I ran into the same problem. I emailed Greg and he was kind enough to straighten me out. Follow the directions exactly except goto position 2 so the dash comes alive for the desired duration for the reset your performing. That post was the best I've seen because of the pin out explanation. No need to buy a tool unless you just want to.

It will work this time guaranteed!!!

Guy

GregK was kind enough to post a service reset procedure for reseting the oil service light that advised shorting pins 7 and 19, then turning the ignition to position 1 untill the sevice light goes out to reset the lights.
I have tried this and found that my service indicator lights do not come on untill position 2, and even then the lights will not reset with pins 7 and 19 connected.
Has anyone here reset thier own lights and how was it done?
Can I just short pin 7 to chassis ground to reset?
When do your service lights come on, position 1 or 2?
