I was going to say, Kurt Derek found you a car, but noooo, 39,900 is way too much ! Stephen's '97 850Ci for 50k is much much better deal, even if that's a auto and this is a manual ! way too much money , but very low mileage, actualy too mow ! I don't like cars with that low mileage !
1st reason : either it's a lie and then I rather know the real one !
2nd reason : The cars are meant to be driven. Every seal and gasket depends on the oil ! If you don't drive it, it'll age even faster then if you drive it every day ! Rubber bushings also age weather they are driven or not. Also in the engine and tranny rust could form from moisture and due to the lack of oil ! Valves are get rusty and sticky , rings get sticky, all the internal parts are designed with a every day use in their mind, which means oil and a lots of it ! If the car sits for months, then all those troubles happens and you think you have purchased a nice new car while it is a aging sleeping garage queen.
I guess it's same as with womans :
If you have a 25 y/o girlfriend who has seen a lot, that's a fun. If you have a 65 y/o who hasn't seen any then it isn't too much fun is it ?
...I couldn't agree more. As a side note I got my 91 850i with 27k miles on it for $28,000 about 2 months ago. It's running like a champ so far..no leaks, no problems and I drive it about 3 to 4 times a week. I'm very pleased with it. I'd wonder about the seals on a car with 11k miles being 10 years old too. All cars need to be driven to keep the seals in decent shape.
