In Reply to: 5 and 8 has different offset are u sure it'll fit posted by Laszlo on January 21, 2001 at 19:35:00:

It will fit but you need 10mm hub-centric-spacers to make the 10mm offset, plus about 10 H&R longer wheel lugs. (H&R only have 5mm, 15mm and 25mm spacers for E31. The 5mm spacers from H&R are not hub-centric). The only person that sell the 10mm spacers is Steve D'Gerolamo at the Ultimate Garage. Also, you need a set of 4-centering rings to make the axle 74.1mm to accomodate the E39 wheels. furthermore, the final offset are 10mm and 22mm for the fronts and rears, respectively. Compare to M-Parallel offset which are 13mm and 25mm. Therefore, you got 3mm wider in all side. No more understeer nor oversteer. Great conering, smooth ride. unless you on the rough road. You are right Steve C., but I drive on the freeway, all the time so it is ok for me.
Let this post be on the archive, so if someone wants to put on the e39 wheels can search for, later.

Regards
William

Nice wheels but I think you need a spacer for the 8 series !!!
