Hey guys,
As was reported below Laszlo took a look at the car for me and reported that it was in need of a lot of work. Mainly it had been neglected and misused. That said, if a guy liked Black/Black and could get it for about $18,000 or less, you could conceivably put about 10 to $15,000 or less? in the car and have a very nice, one off 850 Convertible for around $30,000 more or less. When you think of it done like that, properly, with the chrome strips removed and the spoiler removed, you would end up with a beautiful car well worth the money and time. However, it would take a real DYI with some money and time to get it done, so thats why Laszlo and others recommended that most people should stay away from the car. It's not a buy and drive car. But it definitely has potential and would be an incredible car if done properly.
Hope that clears things up a bit.
Kdg
I like the look of the convertible 8. I think that one-off cars are pretty cool, and the profile of this convertible 8 is neat. From what I understand (from the discussion below) this 8 is more of a Frankenstein than a work of art, but the concept of the covertible 8 isn't a bad one.
