Thanks to all of you that helped me move toward resolution of my airbag dilemma. Derek, Stephen, James, Justin, Stan, Tom and especially Lez who talked to me live while I worked on the car!! You all provided key information, diagrams, etc. that helped to lead me to a solution.

As it turns out, the car has the wiring in place for the second bag, so by re-programming the control unit and installing the bag/bracket, I'm in business. It looks like we'll bypass the pass. seat sensor (as BMW has a service bulletin on this due to ongoing problems w/sensor).

Anyway, I now feel comfortable sharing my car with you since it looks like they won't be exporting it!

It sounds like I'll be driving it in April (if no EPA problems arise)

If there is ever anything that I can do for any of you, please let me know. I have a graphic design firm in Columbus, Ohio. So, call on me for any design tasks, printing, web work, etc. I truly have enjoyed the board and wouldn't be an E31 owner without you!
