Thanks Jim,
This info is always helpful, however many of us have known about this particular armrest for quite some time. Actually I should have ordered one a long time ago as a sort of interim solution until we can get one like Laszlo has with the proper shape and look, but that unlike Laszlo's, will also go up and down and function properly.

This truly seems simple, but in fact, someone actually making the mechanism for going up and down is the real problem. So, on it goes until someone actually makes the devise. Someday, I will do it if and when I get the time. I enjoy that sort of slow design and making of something, but it does require a lot of time and ingenuity..... so of course I will need a lot of help :-), but, mark my words it will eventually get accomplished, something to look forward to.

Many thanks for all your help thus far Jim, maybe you will figure it out as well.
Regards, Kurt

Dear Jim:

We make a console mounted armrest for your car. It is not retractable.
Instead, it attaches to the console in seconds and can be easily removed. It
would be located between the two front seats where the factory installed
cell phone is located. As a result, it could not be used with the phone. It
is available in all factory colors. The price is $149 plus $10 shipping
within the continental US.

Thank you for your e-mail!

Sincerely,
Michael Trueba Jr.
