I've asked this before, a long while back and no one replied at the time.

The "A" is an easy one, but what do the "i", "Ci" and "CSi" stand for? I've always assumed that the "i" meant "injection" for fuel injection, but also thought that injection in German is einspritz, mitt der "e" (isn't that how Porsche used it?). And I always assumed that the "S" was for "Sport" in the CSi. I'm at a loss as to what the "C" means.

I await enlightenment.......... :-)

"CS" = Coupe Sport. I have no idea what the "i" means...I guess the best thing to do would to be to compare a 3xx to a 3xxi from the early 80's. Anybody have any old specifications?
