Other guyson here will tell you more than me but as far as I'm aware it only affected the US market due to higher sulphur content of the fuel...Try searching the archives for more info

Hello,

I live in Switzerland, and am an 8 series fan since I am 12 years old...

I saw a nice 1994 840 CI with only 50'000 km on it. I am just wondering if the european models also had the problems with the V8 engine or is it just due to the Fuel in the USA... I've never heard of such problems here, but any info is welcome.
