Hello,

I live in Switzerland, and am an 8 series fan since I am 12 years old...

I saw a nice 1994 840 CI with only 50'000 km on it. I am just wondering if the european models also had the problems with the V8 engine or is it just due to the Fuel in the USA... I've never heard of such problems here, but any info is welcome.

The V8 does suffer this problem in the UK. Had a long chat with my local main dealer and based on what they said I opted for a 1993 850 rather than a 94/95 840.

I am sure the problem is worse in some coutries than others and in some regions of a country but not others. Still, it is a potential time bomb and I chose to avoid it!
