I'd like to buy a convertion kit from you if you'd be willing to make one. I use a Nokia 8260 but I'd be willing to install a model 60x0 in my 95 840ci(white), I assume that model is much smaller than the BMW factory phone.
If you are open to the idea, then just a couple of installaton photos along with some simple instructions would be more than enough to insure
I don't screw it up on this end.

Like most 850/840 owners, I was not happy with the OEM analog cellular phone. So I developed an upgrade that replaces the original phone with a Nokia 60x0 digital phone. The upgrade preserves all the hands-free functions of the original phone (except voice activation): radio mute, microphone in the dash, auto charge, auto on, auto off, speakers in the kick pannels, etc. The upgrade replaces the original phone on the center console and the transmitter in the trunk without modifying the existing wiring harness (plug & play) using a custom interface box that I designed and built. The interface box includes an amplifier for the front cell phone speakers in the kick panels. It also uses the newer style, two-pronged BMW antenna rather than the original tall, ugly, pig's-tail unit on the window. I believe this will also work for the ealier 7 series cars. If enough owners are interested, I would be willing to document the installation and provide all the parts necessary for the conversion. Regards...
