Well, opinions differ on that matter but at least and undeniably the Z1 came up with the technically most sophisticated solution to a problem that didn't exist. ;-)
I like it and there will be one in my garage in two or three years. Nerd again :-(

Actually the 8 series may be BMW's 'girlie-car'. Has anyone ever encountered a woman that does not like it? In that way it is quite like the Mercedes SLK.

No. I'm afraid you picked the wrong board. Try somewhere else for more satisfying results :-) Too many nerds here.
Lets just say that it should get illigal for certain people to buy a 8 series , It lowers the value
Now guess what my second car is... It's a yellow and black Citroen 2CV Charleston (very rare!). It is going to be rebuilt completely until May and with one exception it will be totally original: It will have leather seats!
So I will be called a nerd not only by 'BMW-fans' but by Citroen people as well.
It's not easy nowadays to drive a car because you just like the car. But you figured that out for yourself. So maybe you should let go of the 8 series if it doesn't fit your style.
As my little 2CV is taken apart completely at the moment, http://www.2cv-charleston.net is still empty. But not for long :-)
