I seem to recall someone actually rebuilt one of the DK motors themselves. It was here on the board, so you might try searching the archives (you will find TONS of stuff on DK, but I'm still pretty sure I saw a post last year about rebuilding the DK motor. From what memory serves it was a relatively simple operation since it was not the actual motor, but just a component that was worn or misalligned).
