Re. to Rob......tires sizes (archive)

Rob:With a little math you can figure the size that will fit
original tires on my 97-840Ci are 245/50/16
245 mm divide by 25.4 =9.64" wide X by .50 side wall=4.82X2
=9.64 + 16 Diam.of wheels =25.64"
if you use Philippe size it would be perfect also
245/35/19
245=9.64 "X by .35=3.374"X2=6.748"+19"=25.748" as you can see the hight is very closed to the original equipmement.
the difference is less then 1/8 of one inch.Hope this help
