Don't know if it's the same in other countries, but in Europa

RDS : This is to keep the same radio wherever you got.

Whe you're listening to "E31radio" in city A, with a frequency A, when you go in city B, you'll keep "E31radio" because RDS finds automaticlly the frequency Y of "E31radio in city B.

So you won't have to search for the radio you're listening...

TP: This works with news radios, in France for example, i can listen to the "motorway info", but this is like "news flash", with music when no motorway info, with the TP button selected, when i'm listening to a tape or a music cd, the cd / tape pauses and goes on the news radio automatically when the "news flash" begins

Really cool when you want to know how is the weather, traffic where you go and you want to listen to your favorite music

Hope you'll understand my bad english

Philippe
