1994 850Cia chip (archive)

I have a 1994 850ci auto (4 speed) and I purchased a performance chip from Bavarian Autosport...actually 2 chips for the M70. I was informed two chips were requires due to the 2 inline 6 engines... is this true? Also I was informed that the torque and hp would increase by about 35
