I think Kevin is looking for something beyond that. Unfortunately, BMW tuning is NOT cheap.
In addition to what Derek said, you can do customs head jobs, valves porting, cams, etc. You can always do them one by one or do one but not the other. That way you won't see a major negative cash flow in your saving account.
