I sold mine for 650USD and I know a guy who did the same, he wanted 700USD. I have a 1997 840ci and did not like the OEM light wood which was a factory item, so I put the regular black plastic back (cost is around $125)
No need to buy anything when you install a factory wood kit, everything has to come off and the kit bolts on. 30 minutes install and very good looking if you like the light wood kit.
I gave my AC Schnitzer wood kit to Kurt (2 pieces only) and that was a dark wood which I loved to have, but no full kit available yet.
The CSi kit is different, has more pieces then Ci kit. The knee area where we have a leathered covered molding is also wood in a CSI. This piece comes from the center console and goes under the dash ! Also the CSI kit is dark wood and IMHO much nicer then a light wood kit !
So it can be purchased for 600-700USD and no extra cost involved !
