Whatever you do, do not buy any BMW at this dealership. What give them the right to think that they are the only BMW dealer around? $15K over sticker for an E46 M3, $25k over for M5, and $100k over for Z8 is just insane!!! You got to be an idiot to pay this much!!! In fact, there was a sale rep there named Richard was just right out rude and snobby. If they charge this much over for the above, you know that they'll be over charging for all other model line-up. Make sure to do your homework and call around before buying you car.
P.S.
BMW dealers in Irvine, Long Beach, and Buena Park are all owned by the same owner. You should boycott these dealers if you are in the Southern California area. There are 30 BMW dealers in this area and a bunch more out of state.

Dealers can ask whatever they want for the cars, and they usually ask what the market will bear. The "sticker" or manufacture's suggested list price, is exactly that...a suggested list price.
If you don't like what they are asking, offer them what you will pay. If they say no, they say no. They aren't obligated to sell you anything and no one is twisting your arm to buy from them. Go to another dealer and try again. There's no point in your ranting about it on this message board.
BTW, I bet you gave the poor salesman at the dealership an earful and I don't blame him for being a bit rude to get you to leave.
