Also, just a point of clarification, the owner of Irvine BMW does own Shelly BMW he is not the owner of Long Beach BMW. I have a lot of service work done at Long Beach BMW (they have free loaner cars not chits to Enterprise rent a wreck, and I've had many postitive experiences at Long Beach versus Irvine's service department) and have asked if they were owned by the same person. I have been assured that they are not.
Your post, although posted to hurt Irvine BMW's business, ultimatly only shows your lack of maturity. It encourages cash cows that have had positive experiences at that dealership, like me, to post positive responses in retaliation. If you really want to effect Irvine BMW's bottom line try a different track. Give a POSITIVE report of the dealership that will give a better price than MSRP on an initial quote. Let everyone know that you went to McKenna BMW in Santa Fe Springs or Savage BMW in Ontario or Riverside BMW or wherever it was you ended up. Tell us about the deal that made you feel like you had to watch out for cops, because you had stole the car your deal was so good. Let the world know where to go to do their business. It is easier to remember where to do business than it is where not to do business. Besides, after a bit of time goes by it is easy to go back and see it things have gotten any better. Versus, loyal customers will drive quite a bit to do business with THEIR DEALER! Point in case, I take my BMer's to Long Beach to have their service work done. Thats over 30 minutes on the freeway, EACH WAY!
If you start telling people the good things that have happened to you, this in turn encourages others to post in support of you. Human nature gives a good feeling when we talk or read positive material. If you don't belive me just look at the inspirational book section in the book store or libary. In contrast when we see negative material it brings anger and agressive emotions to bear. Think about your negative experience at Irvine BMW, negative experience, your angry, even passionate about trying to hurt the dealership. Well, most will allow posting of a single negative to a dealer we have chosen to do business with, repeated posts will ultimatly lead to anger and agression, then when we're mad we vent, it's only human nature.
Positive posts are more fun to read, I've never seen any complaints about repeated positve posts. I have seen repeated calls to quit posting your slams on ALL the boards. The E46 board went so far as to remove your initial post. My response and the others are just hanging out there replying to nothing.
We'll let me get off my soap box, I'm headed out to Las Vegas for the remainder of my vacation. But just to close this, I hope you will read beyond my frustrated jabs and post something positive that will get me and other repeat Irvine BMW customers to take our business to another dealer. Now THAT would hurt Irvine BMW. If the salesforce treats everyone that walks through the door like they did you then you wont have to worry about Irvine or Shelly BMW for much longer.
