Hi MRC and Mike,
I also believe it was sometime in 93. Which brings to mind, I wonder how easy it is to switch an earlier car to the new components. My car works perfectly, no leaks and very cold, so there would seem to be no need, however, if one had to have some work done, then it would be a good time to switch No?

Need help on a quick question:

My local dealer had trouble answering this one. When did BMW Air Condition switch to R134a in the 8 series? Are the early 91-93 850i's using R12 like the 7 series E32's?
