anyway they might also needs replacement and therefore the rear is a little more work as the shoes are usually a pain in a butt to replace. Those self adjusters are never work good anyway, so if you pull your handbrake and there are more then 5-6 clicks you might need adjustment on the brake cable or a whole new set of shoes.
Once you replace the rear drum, also replace the shoes as the old shoe will eat up the inside drum. Yes the shoe will eat the drum and not the drum will polish the shoe ! It is a strange thing but the metal actually weaker then a composite material they use for the shoe/pad
But also that is my guess for a brake job. Midas Brake service is $99.99 for front and they use cheap pads and only resurface the rotors for this money. I'd do it myself as it is not a hard job, but a messy one ! The brake dust goes under your nails and they smell. Anyway I use a glove and also it doesn't bother me too much since I love to work on my car and get my hands dirty.
