At least until you surpass the laws of grip(physics), do not lift off and let the power provide you some slide - keep a keen feel (that's the best word) to steering (probably some reverse lock will find its way into this scenario), and drift through.

If you have gone past the laws of grip (this of course is way past "a little hot") - then there's almost nothing to do but hang on - both feet in... this picture (and it's really unfair from my keyboard to say) looks more just dumb, than plain stupid, though.
