Here you go. Bottles are in the trunk, one is a spare. Because I chose to make it extra clean, I opted to use the spare tire area... fits perfect. Yes, if I go on long trips I'll either take the bottles out or leave them in and throw the spare on top. Most of my blasts are short term. 2nd, unlike the fuel rails and "on the top" installation in the 750, we opted to put the solenoids on the side of the engine, the jets on the underside of the between DK and mass air sensor. We also opted for a different style jet, the one they use in wet systems, because of its fanned end. We capped the fuel inlet wet systems use, so its just NOS... but the spray pattern is much wider, and not aimed at the DK. So-Cal speed shop was very professional and let me watch the installation, and learn tons.

All in all, with the exception of the buttons in the cockpit and the solenoids on the right and left of the engine, you'd never know it was there. And I could cover those, but nawww... Very clean.

Buttons: I have the remote bottle opener, and that's the silver toggle switch. I'm looking for a better switch and will replace it shortly with one that resembles the on/off switch, but it has to be a "momentary" switch that falls back to center. You brief flip the switch forward and it immediately goes back to center, but that little signal opens the bottle. Down is off.

Once the bottle is on, you turn the system on, pretty easy. The big blue botton is another momentary switch that controls the purge valve system, another option. This allows you to fill the lines up to the engine by bleeding regular air out. When NOS fills the entire line, you have the smoking dragon effect in the top picture. Sounds like an air gun, and it only shoots out as long as your holding the button. You can tap it and wait for a little mist, bingo, everything is there. You don't have to do this option. If you go, you'll just a have a little delay as nos fills the line. But the switch is important in releasing pressure from the lines when you're done using the system. Close the bottle, purge until the lines are pressure / NOS free, turn off the system.

I did opt for the micro switch underneath the accelerator, perfectly aligned with the existing "notch" at the very end of the pedal's travel. If the bottle is open and IF the system is armed AND IF fuel pressure is ok, hit that "click" and its goodnight... fun time.

When the NOS is on and flowing, the solenoids have several safety features... for example, they send a 50 psi burst of pressure to the fuel pressure regulators, all neatly tucked under the valve cover...which effectively crimps the return gas line. This insures you're getting as much gas as possible so detonation / lean running is avoided. In addition, if fuel pressure isn't there, it won't send the NOS.

In three days I've made a Boxer look like a Yugo, a couple mustangs look like Pintos. This is fun, and I'll continue to monitor and post as I go along.

Completely different animal, but just as smooth as you enjoy now. Costs: My install was a tricky, and cost me about $1000. The two kits plus purge system and remote bottle opener, etc, cost me a total of $1300. All told, I'm at $2300... less than that frickin' zeemax/sms body kit... and now its faster than it looks. And it looks fast!
