Yes, I went into a Benz dealership parts department and asked for the badge off a 600 SL.
They had it in stock.

My wheels have a chrome finish. They didnt come from BMW like this. This is actually my second set. Per my own ignorance, my first new set of wheels turned out to be pressure-casted M-Parallel replicas purchased on Ebay. I replaced them with original BMW M-Parallel wheels and had them re-finished with chrome at a local wheel/tire reconditioning shop. Turned out to be an expensive lesson in wheel purchasing.
I dont think BMW chromes M-Parallels at the factory. In fact, Im surprised they showed you a polished version.

Interesting. I get my wheels in 2 weeks so Ill see if they are polished. What model benz has that badge? 600sl maybe?
