I just went through this exercise with my CSi. The Pep Boys in Denver sells their own branded battery (I think it's a re-labeled AC Delco). I ended up with DieHard batteries in the CSi that have 'reserve' power capabilities. When the DieHards go in a few years, then I'll upgrade to the Optima batteries. They are premium.....and work with the 8 Series. At the Kruse Auto Auction in Denver over the weekend, I was surprised how many classic cars had the Optimas.
