Amazing isn't it,
I may have to do the same to mine before long, everything works and is in good order, but there is a 'little rattle squeek' that drives me nuts at times that is deep inside the dash :-) So, with some tips from you and Laszlo, I will someday soon, hopefully, be slowly removing everything and putting it back very tightly. Has to be a 3 or 4 or 5 day job!~
