You may already know this but most well done restorations are capped with an Optima because the sealed cell format of the battery means no vapor or acid emissions and hence no rust or corrosion, especially in hard to get places. Can you imagine trying to repair the corrosion from leaking batteries in the rear quarter wells of the 8!?!?!

For everyone's information, I was told by the local BMW service mgr. that the Optima battery has a very high cranking amperage and might not be suitable for the 850.
