The oil can not dissapear ! If it's burned then you gotta see smoke, if it leaks, you have to see the spots, otherwise it has a sing where it goes.
I find it hard to belive to not have any smoke if the engine burns oil. So I guess you loose it someplace else ! How about smoking in a morning or smoke residue on the back of the car ? If nothing then you loose the oil by dripping it to the street. Get under the car and see if there is any oil leak.
Are you sure the mechanic filled the oil up to the level ? Sometimes they don't and maybe that's your case too !
If the plugs are filthy and has oil on them then it's not leak then !

I don't know it sounds like a Sherlock Holmes job - Mr Holmes and Watson could you please help poor Randy out, someone stealing his oil !
