Has anyone had a differential compression check done on oil consuming motors? Also the valve guide seals may have cooked. These can be changed without pulling the head by applying air pressure like the differential check and pull the springs out of the way. You can also check actual wear by dropping the valve down a little and check side motion. If you need to change the intake gasket would be a good time to do this.
