My 1994 850 CiA came from a UK BMW dealer so it was an "Approved Used BMW". That meant, usefully for me, that it came with a full inspection (125 points looked at), guaranteed mileage and provenance checks from one of the UK specialist companies, 1 years waranty and breakdown / accident cover from BMW (extended until 100,000 miles if wanted) and a full BMW service history (plus next service of only 2 or fewer lights on the service indicator). That took a lot of the pain and worry out of buying an 8 series for me.
