Not a slam, flame, criticism, etc.; just wanted to let you know that neither my wife nor I would ever get a car with a black interior - its one of the very few things we agree upon. In her case, its probably a reaction to the pumpkin orange w/black interior Mustang II she had when we first met. No AC and black interior in central Texas make for a miserable summer. That car didn't last long. Me, I just don't like black.

Kurt, I do understand the mentality. I'm sure he understands that he'll get what he pays for! Funny.. I can understand not wanting a black exterior, but I've never heard of an anti-black interior bias! That's why they make lots of different colors, I guess. Actually, it's a great color combo. I've thought of e-bay and may give it a shot.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the info, but I was aware of your car, it's also an extremely nice car, but as you know with a car like this each person has his picky points. First of all my brother is rather moody and fickle as Stephan and others will tell you, but he is seriously looking and I am trying to help gently as only a brother can. At the moment he apparently doesn't want a car that is Black inside or out. That was why I didn't contact you before. Also, he is looking for a car on the lower price scale. So, we may be looking for quite a while :-) We almost bought Stephan's car, wish we had, but Mark bought that one, great car, but now my brother wants to find a car like yours but for a price more like $20 to $22,000 and with no Black inside or out. So, what can I do but try to help him out, not always easy, but I love my brother and I have a good sense of humor sooooo, we keep looking. Good luck with your car, Ooh, by the way, Niranjan told me he is very happy with the reaction he has had on e-bay, so the only problem for him at the moment is making sure that the high bidder comes through with the money. So, since it doesn't cost much, you might want to consider seriously putting the car on ebay so if nothing else you will get some knowledge out and about that the car is available.
Good luck, Kurt

Hi Brad,
Thanks, I love this car, used to be Stephan Spear's car, excellent car, the best you can buy if you want a sex speed :-). My brother needs an automatic. Also he doesn't want to go the $40,000 to $50,000 route with a 96 or 97 Ci, so we are looking for another excellent 91 or 92 i that goes between $18,000 to $25,000 that is in excellent shape and in the right colors etc. Thanks for the tip, but I would have scooped up Niranjan's car long ago if we wanted a 6 spd. NiranJan's car is a steal for someone in my opinion.
Regards, Kurt

Kurt - I have virtually the same car for sale in an atomatic ('91 850i, Calypso/black, 49k miles, full-Csi kit and mirrors, Dinan springs/plates/chips, albeit with it's original 16" wheels. I even have the same rear spoiler in a box. Stock exhaust and intake. Great shape and definately worth a look at. WWW.members.aol.com/mshea600/bmw. I'm asking $29.9k and can be a little flexible - I'll even buy the wheels back if your brother doesn't want them. The car is located in Southport, CT.
