In the end only the cars that are well cared for will last and be around, anyway. Hopefully these cars will become classics.
As a current owner of an E31 I feel sad that our cars are becoming cheap and devauled in part becuase of ignorant journalism. I want my car to maintain its value to some extent and still be a prize for others to aquire. When the car becomes cheap, people who cant afford to maintain the car or dont care to maintain it end up owning it. This only perpetuates the myth that this car is problematic and unreliable and results in more devauluation. Its like a downward spiral.
