"You don't hear that you are going fast"

In other words: The sound-isolation is very good (and it doesn’t need to be revved to the limit) which is better for longtime cruising (which is what GT stands for).

They (the press) mistake the 8-series for racecar instead of a GT; which could be seen as a compliment :-)

It is indeed a black sheep for BMW, why we shall never really know. Maybe it is the real rebel of the family (and not the M3 or M5). I like driving this rebel with a cause…
