Dear guys,
I have been driving my car quite a lot lately (and I don't sleep in the garage) and it is about now that I am starting to get familiar with its behaviour and sounds.
One thing that I have noticed lately is that there is a low frequency "wwwwwuuuuuuuhhhh" sound in the car all the time. It is specially audible when I am standing still and idling. It sounds just like I am sitting on top of a massive jet turbine and I did not have this sound in my 93 CiA.
Has anybody here owned both a i/Ci and then a CSi that could tell me if this sound difference is normal? It doesn't bother me, but the CSi is definately less silent than my previous CiA? Am I wrong or should I start checking for something?
As the sound is very low frequency it is almost impossible to try to localize it. It's just everywhere in the car and only audible when I am inside the car and not outside.
Any clues?
Best regards,
Fedde
