Diamond Black is actually a dark charcoal gray (metallic). Cosmos black and 'Jet' black are the same thing---just as black as you can get. Cosmos is metallic, maybe the 'Jet' you are referring to is non-metallic black. I don't think 'Jet' was ever used by the factory to designate a color...it was probably just 'Black' (Schwarz), but don't quote me on that.

I had a jet black 94 840. Now looking again. What is the difference between diamond black and cosmos black. The 94 BMW brochure lists jet and diamond, but no cosmos. Was cosmos a newer color. I saw an ad for a 94 cosmos CSi, but I don"t see how that can be, based upon my 94 color option brochure.
